Week 3 & 4

Keying​

  • Keylight: click little black box in properties to get colourpicker, cmd + shift to drag a box, click back off the box after drawing the box

  • FilerErode: tab --> erode, get hair detail back,

  • Despillmadness --> takes the green spill away

  • Tracker: add track, at the top the play button --> track to end, select both tracks --> average tracks, in the transform tab: transform to match move 1 pt and reference frame

  • Merge: put ‘operation’ to mask to cut her out

  • Roto: go to the transform

Week 6-8

Tracking & Cleanup

RotoPaint with Tracking information

Bringing a new Logo in after clean up

  • PlanerTrack: Roto shape -> select all points --> right click (ctrl click) --> planer track forward --> after the rack click the little symbol on the right top and click CornerPin 2D absolute baked.

  • Rotopaint clone: Comand click to change the source, shift to change to size, ALWAYS USE ON HERO FRAME!!!!!!

  • CornerPin: put after premult, always use on hero frame, in the properties go to from --> then click ‘copy to’ --> right-click on the squiggly line à delete animation, on all points in ‘From’

  • Grade: gamma, multiply, lift

Assignment 2 Tips:

  • defocus wall/window

  • directional blur (dirblur, blurtype Linear) on root (maybe on raindrops)

  • colour dilation (on blackboard) for edgerefinment/cutting out objects (Windows)

  • edgeCreator bring edges out, grading edges on scene, windows and women

  • grid warp - background/landscape image, connect source pipe, animate clouds over time moving, 

  • write - export, H.264, filename: comp_a2_studentnumber.mov

  • backdrop - select nodes --> tab -->backdrop

  • sticky note - post it note to write down stuff to remember

  • lightwrap - create the illusion of light shining on the object,  apply on women shoulders, before the merge

  • shuffle - change/play with colour channels for the whole picture?, convert any colour into an alpha channel, extract each colour, too complicated don't use (next year)

  • grade the women to match the room, room just a little bit wenn überhaupt.

  • don't roto the women, root everything around her

  • cloud point for the rain
